Drug Uses
Bextra is used for treatment of symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in adults and painful menstrual cycles.

How Taken
Baclofen may be taken with or without a meal. Consult with your doctor about the dosage suitable for you.

Warnings/Precautions
Before taking Bextra, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances, if you have epilepsy or seizures, or have had a stroke, if you have kidney, heart or liver problems, kidney failure or high blood pressure, if you have had stomach ulcers or stomach bleeding, if you are planning to become pregnant or are breast–feeding. If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Bextra during while you are pregnant. It is not known if Bextra is found in breast milk. Do not breast–feed while taking Bextra. Some medicines may interact with Bextra. Ttherefore tell your doctor of all prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement that you are taking. Do not take Bextra if you have asthma, hives or allergic reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti–inflammatory drugs) or COX–2 inhibitors. Some examples of NSAIDs are ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), naproxen (Naprosyn, Aleve), diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam), nabumetone (Relafen), ketoprofen (Orudis), celecoxib (Celebrex), and rofecoxib (Vioxx). You can ask your doctor or pharmacist for a complete list of these medications.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Possible Side Effects
Some of the Possible Side Effects are- Indigestion, Nausea, Stomach pain, Upper respiratory tract infection, Diarrhea, Headache. If you experience these or any other side effects contact your doctor promptly.

Storage
Store Bextra at room temperature, below 86 °F (30 °C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep the container tightly closed. Keep Bextra out of the reach of children.

Overdose
If overdose is suspected seek medical attention immediately.

More Information
Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medicine for other health conditions. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor.
